We are seeking an experienced PEMB Project Manager to join our growing team and oversee projects from concept through completion.
Position Summary
The PEMB Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing pre-engineered metal building projects while ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge of PEMB systems, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of PEMB projects, including scheduling, procurement, coordination, and closeout
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and vendor documents
- Develop project schedules, track progress, and adjust timelines as necessary
- Prepare and manage budgets, change orders, and cost reports
- Coordinate with engineering teams and metal building manufacturers to ensure accurate design and fabrication
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards
- Identify and resolve project challenges proactively
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
- Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, specifically with pre-engineered metal buildings
- Strong understanding of PEMB systems, erection processes, and construction sequencing
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
Preferred Skills
- Experience working directly with PEMB manufacturers (e.g., Butler, Nucor, Star, Varco Pruden, etc.)
- Knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes
- Strong negotiation skills with subcontractors and vendors
- OSHA certification(s)
