A regional tertiary and quaternary care center in Asheville, NC is seeking an Emergency Room Nurse Manager. The hospital is licensed for 853 beds, is the region's only trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and Level III neonatal intensive care unit, and holds Magnet® designation for nursing excellence.
The role. The Emergency Room Nurse Manager holds accountability for the daily operations of a 100-bed Emergency Department that sees approximately 350 patients per day, overseeing a team of approximately 200 FTEs. Reporting to nursing leadership, this leader integrates clinical, human resource, and financial data to inform decision-making and ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards. The role involves collaborating with nursing leadership on organizational planning, innovation, and evaluation of strategic initiatives, while promoting evidence-based practice across clinical and operational processes. The manager also plays a key role in the professional development of staff and colleagues, fostering a supportive environment that encourages growth and retention.
What we're looking for.
- BSN or equivalent (ADN with MSN, BA with MSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.
- BLS Healthcare Provider
- A minimum of five years of recent nursing experience; 2 years in relevant clinical hospital experience with demonstrated leadership skills
- Previous leadership experience required
Schedule. Full time, nights, 4 PM – 2 AM with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $122,000 - $122,000 per year plus Relocation: Case by Case Basis
