Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Grade: Temporary Worker
Pay Rate: 10.00 per hour
Qualifications:
Minimum Age Requirement: 16 years old
Ability to follow instructions (written or oral)
Ability to comprehend verbal and written English
Ability to work collaboratively with others
Demonstrate decision making and problem-solving skills
Must be self-motivated, accountable and dependable for the job task
Must be safety conscious and should have a conviction for any safety concerns
Ability to maintain emotional stability
Primary Purpose:
Assist other district employees with a variety of physical and mental demanding tasks. Provide excellent customer service.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs general labor duties.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Perform physically demanding tasks for an extended period of time.
- Work in non-air-conditioned environment.
- Participate in-service trainings offered by Katy ISD.
Equipment Used:
Personal computer, hand tools, ladder, hand truck, dolly, and pallet jack
Working Conditions:
Work outside and inside. Exposure to extreme temperatures, humid conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, odors, loud noises, and slippery or uneven surfaces. Continual walking and standing: frequent heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work around moving objects and vehicles.
