MECM/SCCM Engineer

The MECM Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) to manage and secure Windows endpoints across the enterprise. This role ensures reliable operating system deployment, application delivery, patch management, and endpoint compliance while supporting overall IT operations and security objectives.

This position is a contract position, with the opportunity of potential full-time placement.

Key Responsibilitie

sEndpoint & Systems Managemen

• tDesign, implement, Administer and maintain Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) infrastructur
• eManage device collections, boundaries, boundary groups, and site configuration
• sMonitor MECM health, performance, and availabilit
• yPerform upgrades, hotfixes, and maintenance of MECM environment

sOperating System Deployment (OSD

• )Design and maintain OS deployment task sequences (Windows 10/11
• )Manage boot images, drivers, and driver package
• sSupport bare‑metal, refresh, and in‑place upgrade scenario

sApplication & Software Deploymen

• tPackage, test, and deploy applications using MSI, EXE, PowerShell, and script
• sManage application supersedence, dependencies, and detection method
• sTroubleshoot deployment failures and client issue

sPatch Managemen

• tImplement and manage Windows Updates and third‑party patchin
• gCreate and maintain update deployment rings and maintenance window
• sMonitor patch compliance and remediatio

nEndpoint Security & Complianc

• eIntegrate MECM with Microsoft Intune / co‑management (if applicable
• )Support compliance baselines, configuration items, and reportin
• gWork with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and enforce policie

sTroubleshooting & Suppor

• tResolve MECM client issues (client health, policy retrieval, content download
• )Troubleshoot PXE, software center, and update failure
• sProvide Tier 2/3 support and escalation assistanc

eDocumentation & Reportin

• gCreate and maintain technical documentation and SOP
• sDevelop reports using MECM, SQL, and/or Power B
• ITrack deployment success, compliance, and endpoint metric
