Role Overview
We are seeking a senior Director – Agentic AI Transformation to lead forward-deployed AI initiatives for highly regulated financial services clients. This role owns the end-to-end design, deployment, and governance of context engineering, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI systems, ensuring production-grade reliability, compliance, and measurable business impact.
You will work embedded with client leadership teams, translating strategic business objectives into scalable, governed AI solutions aligned with BCBS 239, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, and emerging AI regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Client Leadership
- Partner with C-suite leaders (CFO, CIO, CRO, CCO, COO) to define multi-year AI transformation roadmaps
- Lead forward-deployed delivery from discovery through production and value realization
- Facilitate executive workshops to identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases (credit decisioning, AML/CFT, market risk, wealth advisory)
End-to-End Context & Agent Architecture
- Own enterprise context fabric powering LLMs and agents (RAG, vector DBs, knowledge graphs, semantic layers, memory stores)
- Architect tool orchestration frameworks enabling agents to safely interact with core financial systems
- Define context quality, freshness, and latency standards aligned to business and regulatory sensitivity
AI Governance, Risk & Evaluation
- Embed BCBS 239-aligned data lineage, quality, and auditability into AI pipelines
- Define AI evaluation strategies covering accuracy, bias, hallucination risk, cost, latency, and compliance
- Lead red team exercises for high-risk AI use cases and implement CI/CD quality gates
Cloud, Platform & MLOps Strategy
- Own AI platform architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Design secure, scalable AI infrastructure meeting financial services security and compliance standards
- Implement MLOps / LLMOps pipelines for reproducibility, observability, and governance
Leadership & Business Enablement
- Support AI transformation go-to-market efforts, proposals, and executive presentations
- Mentor and scale teams of context engineers, evaluation engineers, and solution architects
- Produce thought leadership on agentic AI, governance, and financial services transformation
Required Qualifications
- 15 years of experience across software engineering, data engineering, AI/ML, or analytics
- 5–7 years leading enterprise AI or digital transformation initiatives
- Deep hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and agentic systems
- Strong background in financial services or regulated industries
- Proven ability to operate in a forward-deployed / embedded client model
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
