Job Description – Data Analyst / Data Steward (Entry & Advanced)
Locations: St. Louis, MO & Creve Coeur, MO (Hybrid)
Type: Temporary Assignment (5–6 Months)
Contract: W2 Only
Role Overview
Seeking Data Analysts/Data Stewards at Entry and Advanced levels to support data analysis, data quality, and governance initiatives. Roles involve working with SQL, profiling datasets, documenting processes, and collaborating with business and technical teams. Advanced candidates lead data quality efforts; entry-level candidates assist with requirements, testing, and basic analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and profile datasets to identify trends, issues, and data quality gaps.
- Write SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and validation.
- Maintain documentation for data processes, lineage, and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data needs and solutions.
Advanced Level:
- Lead data quality initiatives and governance alignment.
- Provide insights to stakeholders and mentor junior stewards.
- Drive continuous improvement in data management processes.
Entry Level:
- Support requirement gathering, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Assist senior analysts and contribute to project documentation.
Qualifications
Advanced:
- Bachelor’s in Data/Computer/Information fields.
- 5 years in data analysis or stewardship.
- Advanced SQL; experience with profiling tools and data quality.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
Entry:
- Bachelor’s in IT/CS (2024–2025 graduates).
- Strong SQL and analytical thinking.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred (Both):
- Python/R, Excel, BI tools, or GCP experience.
