The Territory Sales Manager reports to the Western Region VP of sales. This is a remote position officing in the Sale Lake City, UT area with local travel up to a few days a month.

Overview: The Territory Sales Manager drives sales growth and key account management across an assigned district by building strong customer relationships, forecasting demand, and providing market insights that inform pricing, promotions, and marketing strategy. Basic qualifications that the Territory Sales Manager must possess include:

  1. Knowledge of cement manufacturing. Preferred
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  3. Self-led and self-managed; able to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and consistently meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  4. Must possess good communication skills; writing, speaking, listening effectively.
  5. Proficiency in establishing goals that are clear, well defined, and measurable. Must be able to communicate these objectives clearly to others, and provide feedback/appraisals to ascertain if the objectives are being met.
  6. Must possess good decision making skills based upon the ability to accurately identify problems, collect relevant information/data, and generate cost effective solutions.
  7. Capable of maintaining appropriate and constructive responses under all circumstances.

Responsibilities: The responsibilities of a Territory Sales Manager include, but are not limited to:

  1. Manage and maintain existing customer accounts by building strong relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and serving as the primary point of contact for ongoing sales support and issue resolution.
  2. Drive growth within the assigned territory by identifying new opportunities within the current market, expanding share with existing customers, and executing targeted outreach and sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  3. Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales and activity reports, including pipeline updates, market insights, forecast accuracy, and performance metrics, to support leadership visibility and data-driven decision-making.
  4. Maintain ongoing awareness of inventory levels compared to sales forecasts; proactively communicate anticipated demand shifts and potential supply constraints to internal stakeholders to support production planning and on-time customer fulfillment.
  5. Conduct regular on-site visits to the Salt Lake City terminal to coordinate closely with the Terminal Manager to proactively communicate anticipated volume fluctuations and upcoming projects.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Required
  • Associates for Bachelors degree in construction management or a related field. Preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales role or sales adjacent role. Preferred
