Bookkeeper (30 hours/week) – Distribution Business
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of our growing distribution business. This is a long-term position with approximately 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR): create invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP): enter bills, verify vendor invoices, and process payments
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule
- Perform invoice verification and reconciliation with bank transactions and vendor statements
- Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records in Sage
- Assist with preparing financial reports for management and CPA
- Ensure all records are organized and ready for tax filing and compliance
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (2 years preferred)
- Required: Experience with Sage (Sage 50 / Sage Intacct or similar)
- Strong understanding of AR/AP, payroll, and reconciliations
- Familiar with U.S. accounting practices and sales tax
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
