Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Generator Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of generator systems and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure reliable power solutions for our clients by helping keep their operations running smoothly and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with generators, electrical systems, and small engines in a fast-paced environment that values technical excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on generators, including propane and natural gas engine repair and electrical troubleshooting
- Perform routine generator maintenance including oil changes, filter changes, and system testing
- Assist with generator installations
- Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule
- Utilize hand tools and power tools, to complete repairs and modifications
- Maintain accurate service records and inspection reports for all maintenance activities
- Provide exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors most of the day
- Strong candidates will have working knowledge of small engines and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of Generac or similar generator brands is a plus
- Excellent mechanical/ electrical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills is a plus
Pay: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
