Position Overview:
AIS is seeking a part-time Independent Contractor Audiologist to perform on-site disability hearing examinations in South Charleston, WV. The provider will conduct audiological evaluations, interpret results, and complete documentation in accordance with Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and AIS standards.
This role is strictly evaluation-based and does not include therapeutic or treatment duties.
AIS provides all required equipment, proprietary software, and administrative support. The contractor sets their own schedule, and AIS coordinates appointments accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing and audiometric evaluations for disability determination purposes.
- Review provided medical history and perform thorough, standardized exams.
- Complete all required documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with VA and AIS guidelines.
- Utilize AIS-provided software to finalize and securely transmit examination reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and contractual standards.
Qualifications:
- Active, full, and unrestricted West Virginia Audiology License (required).
- Experience performing diagnostic or disability-focused audiology exams preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet documentation deadlines.
- Professional communication and independent work skills.
