We are seeking an HVAC Technician to service residential and commercial systems across mixed environments. Reporting to the service manager, facilities manager, or business owner, this role will focus primarily on preventive maintenance and repair calls throughout the local service area, with regional and occasional overnight travel. The technician will diagnose issues, complete quality repairs and installations, communicate with customers, and document each visit through service notes, digital work orders, diagnostic reports, estimates, and invoices.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair calls.
- Install HVAC equipment and inspect ductwork.
- Handle refrigerants in compliance with applicable requirements.
- Conduct electrical testing and diagnostic evaluations.
- Complete brazing, soldering, and related service work.
- Communicate service findings and recommendations to customers.
- Prepare basic service notes, digital work orders, detailed diagnostic reports, customer estimates, and invoices.
- Travel throughout the local service area, with regional and occasional overnight travel as needed.
- Follow safety requirements and established service procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
- Completion of an HVAC training program or technical certificate.
- EPA Section 608 certification.
- State or local HVAC technician license.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency with HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting, refrigerant management, brazing and soldering, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic testing.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
