Duties
- Greet guests promptly with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality, making them feel comfortable and appreciated
- Manage reservations efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow
- Coordinate seating arrangements and waitlists to maximize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and taking reservations as needed
- Assist guests with seating, answer questions about menu items or restaurant policies, and address any special requests or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to ensure a welcoming environment
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless guest service and uphold food safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and organizational skills to manage reservations efficiently
- Understanding of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in hotel or guest relations roles is advantageous but not mandatory
