Duties
- Safely transport prepared dishes from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring correct order accuracy and presentation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as plating, garnishing, and portioning when needed
- Clear and reset tables efficiently by bussing dishes, glasses, and utensils to maintain a clean dining area
- Support the kitchen staff with manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of food containers and equipment using safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas by sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of trash regularly
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and guests to coordinate timely service delivery
- Handle food safely during transportation, adhering to food handling regulations and sanitation standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including bussing or food running roles
- Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
- Excellent communication skills for in-person customer service and teamwork
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy and transaction support
- Experience with banquet or large event service is a plus
- Knowledge of culinary processes like cooking, food preparation, and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Hospitality background including hotel or guest services experience enhances your ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences
