Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced Lead Commercial HVAC Retrofit Install Technician to manage commercial HVAC installation projects from blueprint to completion. This role is ideal for a technician who takes ownership, leads by example, and consistently delivers clean, efficient, code-compliant installations.
This position offers a defined path into Project Management for technicians who demonstrate leadership and project ownership.
Systems & Equipment Experience
Experience with some or all of the following is preferred:
- Rooftop Units (RTUs)
- Boilers
- Chillers
- Water Source Heat Pumps (WSHPs)
- VAV Systems
- Split Systems
- Exhaust Systems
- Commercial HVAC equipment
- HVAC retrofit and replacement projects
Job Responsibilities
- Install and replace commercial HVAC systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications
- Lead retrofit installations from start to finish
- Mentor and direct junior installers
- Ensure work meets code, safety, and manufacturer standards
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades
- Troubleshoot installation issues in the field
- Maintain clean, organized job sites
- Represent All Hours Mechanical professionally on every project
Requirements
- 7 years of commercial HVAC installation experience
- Ability to complete projects from drawing to completion
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Experience working with cranes, lifts, and ladders
- EPA Certification required
- OSHA 10 preferred (required within 90 days of hire)
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor others
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- BuildOps experience is a plus
Compensation
- Starting at $40-$60 hour, based on experience and certifications
- Overtime available
- Higher compensation available for technicians with advanced retrofit, chiller, boiler, and commercial mechanical installation experience
