Solar Roofing Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Solar Roofing Technicians to join our growing team. We install residential and commercial solar energy systems and are looking for motivated individuals with roofing and solar installation experience who take pride in quality workmanship and safety.

We are also open to candidates with general roofing or construction experience who are eager to learn the solar industry. Training is available for the right individuals.

Duties

• -Install residential and commercial solar racking and photovoltaic (PV) systems
• -Perform roof layout, flashing, rail installation, and module mounting
• -Ensure all roof penetrations are properly sealed and weatherproofed
• -Read and follow installation plans and engineering drawings
• -Inspect roofs for safety and structural concerns before installation
• -Work closely with electrical crews to ensure efficient project completion
• -Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures at all times
• -Communicate effectively with project managers, crew leads, and team members
• -Travel to job sites as required (overnight travel may be necessary)

Experience

• -Experience installing residential or commercial solar systems preferred OR
• -Roofing experience (asphalt shingle, metal, or tile) with a willingness to learn solar installation
• -Comfortable working at heights and using fall protection equipment
• -Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• -Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
• -Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• -Valid driver's license and willingness to travel

Pay: $60,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
