Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide memory care support to residents with cognitive impairments, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of living spaces, ensuring a hygienic environment for all residents.
- Lift and transfer residents safely as needed, using proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Encourage social interaction and engagement among residents through activities and companionship.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy, dignity, and autonomy at all times.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in long-term care or home health settings is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize changes in condition.
- Familiarity with resident rights and commitment to advocating for those rights.
- Ability to perform light cooking tasks and maintain a clean living environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
