Duties
- Safely operate vans to pick up and deliver glass products across designated routes
- Load and unload materials at each destination, checking over each piece for damage as it goes out
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and company safety policies during route driving
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups using mobile devices or digital tracking systems
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery schedules and address any issues promptly
- Assist with warehouse operations at the end of your day, unloading materials
Experience
- Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations is highly preferred
- Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently
- Experience operating commercial trucks, box trucks, or vans with manual transmission is advantageous
- Familiarity with route planning, traffic regulations, and DOT compliance ensures smooth deliveries
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients
- Knowledge of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or similar tools enhances operational efficiency
- Ability to work part-time hours flexibly while maintaining punctuality and reliability
