Position Summary

ALL Erection & Crane Rental Corp., located in Independence, is seeking a Sales Assistant - Crane & Heavy Equipment with solid administrative and general office skills to support the Sales Department. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits package in our corporate headquarters.

Essential Functions

• Updates Sales Manager by consolidating, analyzing, and forwarding daily action summaries; preparing and forwarding sales tracking reports.
• Marketing and sales support for outside rental and retails sales staff as it relates to our services.
• Operate a multi-line phone to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information, taking messages, and scheduling appointments.
• Perform administrative support tasks such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, and operating calculators or computers to work with records, invoices, and other documents.
• Maintains customer database by inputting customer profile and updates; preparing and distributing monthly reports.
• Prepares sales presentations by compiling data; developing presentation formats and materials.
• Transmit information or documents to colleagues or customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.
• Schedule appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars.
• Respond to questions from internal and external customers via phone and email.
• Provide information about the company such as location of branches, hours of operation, or services provided.
• Process and prepare memos, correspondence, or other documents.
• Improves sales support, and job knowledge by attending training sessions.
• Ability to take photos of used equipment being sold.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Experience with heavy construction equipment is a plus
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed
• Able to sit for longs periods of time
• Able to use phone, computer and other office equipment
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
