The role:

We are looking for an experienced restoration technician. Someone who is a team-player/positive person with a passion for helping their neighbors and wants to join our technician team! This role is an hourly, full-time position. You will provide jobsite leadership and exceptional customer service, reporting to the general manager/owner. Your focus will be working hands-on with the team to resolve our customer’s water and mold problems. The role will afford you opportunities for advancement as the company grows and according to your qualifications. Basic Qualifications, Experience, Education:

• Required:
• • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 or more years prior professional work experience at a water damage restoration company as a hands-on restoration technician
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Comfortable with using technology such as iPads and a smart phone
  • Excellent customer service attitude
  • Strong attendance record
• Preferred:
• • Relevant IICRC certifications such as your WRT, ASD, AMRT, etc.
  • Construction experience
  • Habla español

Job Requirements:

• Able/willing to:
• • travel in a 30 mile radius around the Des Moines metro
  • work in potentially challenging conditions/job sites
  • work flexible hours including an on call rotation for emergency water calls
  • climb ladders, work at height and confined spaces
  • walk and stand for long periods of time including driving, sitting
  • routinely perform repetitive physical labor for sustained periods of time including pushing, pulling, lifting
  • lift up to 50 lbs
  • follow instructions/procedures and perform basic problem-solving
  • perform all aspects of remediation jobs according to training while providing excellent customer service independently/under limited supervision

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain company vehicle and equipment in a clean, safe and ready state
• Report into pre and post job briefings
• Follow basic operating procedures and complete physical and electronic paperwork, forms, and checklists
• Safely travel to job sites in company vehicle
• Interact with customers including explaining job scope with property owner while providing excellent service
• Perform basic calculations, write, monitor and complete jobs using phone apps and software
• Setup and breakdown job sites; plan out and clean-up water and mold, applying remediation techniques/using tools and instruments and performing demo such as flood cuts and carpet/pad removal
• Assist with planning, coordinating, training, job quoting as required by senior staff/management
