Reading Interventionist

Orchard Farm School District is seeking a Reading Intervention Paraprofessional to join our team!  

We have two positions to hire for the 2026-2027 School Year:

• Reading Interventionist at OFMS/OFJH (Grades 5-8)
• Reading Interventionist at Two Rivers Elementary (Grades K-4) 

Our Reading Interventionist Paraprofessionals are responsible for providing outstanding instruction and nurturing an environment conducive to learning for the students they serve so each student can reach their full potential as leaders and learners. They will work collaboratively with other members of the reading department to plan instruction, assess student progress, promote reading, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor degree or higher
• Must hold a teaching certificate and able to to have active teaching or substitute certificate
• Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner
• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
• Ability to follow written and oral communication 
• Ability to problem solve

An individual who holds this position is required to:

• Assist students according to their individualized needs in a small group setting
• Assist in student supervision across settings as assigned
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members to plan for an monitor instruction
• Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law
• Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and special events when requested by administration
• Follow instructions from teachers and administrators
