About the Role of the Experienced Veterinary Technician
We’re looking for a Veterinary Technician who is compassionate, eager to learn, and energized by meaningful work. Key Responsibilities of the Experienced Veterinary Technician
Support veterinarians during exams, procedures, and surgeries with confidence and care
Maintain accurate electronic medical records
Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
Perform catheterizations, radiographs and diagnostic laboratory tests with accuracy and attention to detail
Monitor patient vital signs and behavior, promptly communicating changes to the attending veterinarian
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment by decluttering, sanitizing equipment and work areas
Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately during exams, treatments and procedures
Educate pet owners on care, medications, and veterinarian's recommendations
Support smooth clinic operations by assisting with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications of the Experienced Veterinary Technician
Experience in a veterinary clinic or similar environment is required
Familiarity with animal physiology and safe handling and restraint techniques, especially for small animals and exotics; training will be provided and used immediately
Core strengths that matter here: compassion, empathy, attention to detail, positivity, organization, curiosity, and a teachable mindset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with pet owners and team members
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑centered environment, managing multiple tasks while navigating emergencies, emotional situations, and the unpredictability of animals
Helpful experience: dog behavior knowledge, training or handling skills, and comfort administering medications
