What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sewer/Production Trainee position at All Coast Canvas?
We build custom boat covers, and we’re growing. We’re looking for someone who wants more than a sewing job: a hands-on learner who wants to master every step of production (patterning, cutting, sewing, finishing) and grow into running the shop.
What you’ll do: Sew custom canvas and marine covers on industrial machines, then learn cutting, patterning, and quality control. As you grow, you’ll help organize workflow and train new team members.
You might be a fit if you:
- Have sewing experience (industrial, upholstery, canvas, sails, or serious home sewing all count)
- Take pride in precise, clean work
- Like solving problems and figuring out how things go together
- Show up reliably and want a long-term role
We offer: $[X–Y]/hr to start, with raises as you learn new skills, full training, and a clear path to shop manager.
To apply: Send a short note about something you’ve built or sewn that you’re proud of, plus photos if you have them. Include “ready to grow” in your first line.
Pay: $17.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 50.0 per week
Work Location: In person
Salary : $17 - $40
