What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rest Area Attendant position at All In Cleaning, LLC?
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Rest Area Attendant to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for travelers. This position is responsible for daily cleaning, facility upkeep, trash collection, and seasonal outdoor maintenance, including snow removal from walkways. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates well with others and can compete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, floors fixtures and public areas
- Restock restroom supplies, paper products and soap dispensers
- Empty and replace trash liners throughout the building and outdoor grounds
- Collect and dispose of trash and debris from parking lots, sidewalks, picnic areas, and grassy zones
- perform light maintenance duties such as wiping walls, cleaning mirrors and removing graffiti or build up
- Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, entryways, and other walking surfaces as needed to maintain safe access
- Report any facility issues, vandalism, or safety hazards to the site supervisors promptly
- Operate cleaning and maintenance equipment safely (floor scrubbers, vacuums, snow shovels, snow blower, etc)
- Maintain compliance with company and DOT cleaning standards, safety protocols, and quality expectations
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50lbs, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including snow and heat
- Prior janitorial, groundskeeping, or facility maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and follow directions
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
Work Enviornment:
- Combination of indoor cleaning and outdoor grounds maintenance
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, snow/ice, and varying weather conditions
- Position involves regular contact with the public and teamwork with other staff and supervisors
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
