Rehabilitation Technician (Bilingual Spanish)

The Rehabitation Technician will assist the Front Office Coordinators with office upkeep, patient scheduling and translations as needed, including but not limited to:

• Maintain a neat/tidy appearance in all areas of the suite, returning equipment/supplies to designated areas.
  
  

• Regularly sanitize exercise equipment, therapy materials, and assistive devices according to hospital safety and infection control standards.
  
  

• Maintain medical supplies in all treatment areas.
  
  

• Assist the therapists with delivery, set-up, and clean-up of the treatment area (i.e., patient room, rehab gym) for patient care delivery.
  
  

• Assist in the patient intake process, including managing queue system and securing necessary authorizations.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Assist therapists in translations for evaluations/treatments.
  
  

• Support ongoing patient care activities throughout the patient’s treatment journey, from initial intake to discharge.
  
  

• Follow all privacy, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
  
  

• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule therapy sessions while maintaining accurate calendars for therapists.
  
  

• Communicate with parents and caregivers ensuring patient information is updated.
  
  
  
  

Requirements:

A minimum of one year of prior experience in a fast-paced medical environment, specifically in an intake coordinator or comparable position, is required. These related positions may qualify for expereince: Rehabilitation Technician, Rehab Aide, Physical Therapy Aide, Physical Therapy Technician, PT Aide / PT Tech, Therapy Aide, Rehabilitation Assistant/Coordinator.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications:

• ***Must be Bilingual in Spanish***
  
  

• Certified Medical Interpreter (preferred)
  
  

• Knowledge of healthcare processes, including referrals, authorizations, and legal documentation (preferred)
  
  

• Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills

Hours: Monday through Friday, day shift

Job Type: W2- Full time to work 40 hours per week

Compensation: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
