What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Assistant position at All Cape Welding?
The shop assistant is responsible for organizing metal stock, cutting, bending, drilling and punching holes, as well as picking up and delivering orders. You will also assist on installations of railings, truck racks, and some structural steel projects. Other duties include occasionally sweeping the shop, helping to take out the trash, etc. The ability to keep records of time by project, using the time clock, and good organizational and communication skills are all important.
We are willing to train the right candidate with the right attitude.
Forklift experience and/or certification a plus. Position does require the ability to lift heavy and awkward objects, some with assistance and some on your own.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
