Role Description The Installer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Central FL. Installers are responsible for safely transporting, assembling, and installing various types of signage, including illuminated and non-illuminated signs, pylon structures, channel letters, and canopies, at customer locations. Typical day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting installation plans, operating hand and power tools, using ladders and lifts, securing signs to a variety of surfaces, and ensuring all installations meet company quality standards and local regulations. Installers regularly collaborate with project managers, designers, and other field technicians to coordinate schedules, troubleshoot installation challenges, and complete projects on time. The role also involves maintaining equipment, following safety protocols, and providing courteous on-site customer service.
Qualifications
- Hands-on skills in sign installation, including working with ladders, lifts, hand tools, and power tools, and safely handling illuminated and non-illuminated signage.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical drawings for accurate placement and mounting of signage.
- Strong understanding of basic construction practices, including measuring, drilling, anchoring, and working with various mounting surfaces (concrete, brick, metal, etc.).
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to field work, including fall protection, electrical awareness for illuminated signage, and job site safety procedures.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with field technicians, project managers, and customers in a professional manner.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, with the ability to travel locally to job sites around Tampa, FL.
- Physical ability to lift and carry materials, work at heights, and perform manual tasks throughout the workday.
- Previous experience in sign installation, construction, or a related trade is strongly preferred; relevant certifications or vocational training are a plus.
