Duties
- Assist with stone masonry tasks including stone placement, mortar work, and finishing details to ensure structural integrity and visual appeal
- Support the installation of rebar and concrete forms for foundational and decorative elements
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and position stones and building materials
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to follow project specifications accurately
- Help with the building of masonry scaffolds and ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed on-site
- Prepare surfaces for plastering, stucco, or trim carpentry work as needed for restoration or renovation projects
- Support heavy equipment operation related to material handling or site preparation when required
Skills
- Proven experience in concrete masonry, stone masonry, or related construction fields
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprint specifications with precision
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and building material installation techniques
- Familiarity with rebar installation, concrete finishing, caulking, tile laying, and metal stud framing is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites to prevent accidents and ensure compliance
- Experience with renovation projects involving stucco, restoration work, or roofing is advantageous
