Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and other materials.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and secure roofing components.
- Set up ladders and safety harnesses properly to access roofs at various heights while adhering to construction safety regulations.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate project execution.
- Support in siding installation, stucco work, framing carpentry, and other exterior building tasks as needed.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials such as shingles, metal panels, or concrete forms.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment on construction sites.
Requirements
- Prior construction site experience or hands-on outdoor work experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with construction safety harnesses, ladder use, and adherence to workplace safety regulations.
- Knowledge of roofing repair techniques, metal roofing installation, and single-ply membrane roofing is a plus.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and fabrication equipment required for various tasks.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of construction estimating processes and blueprint reading is advantageous.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety protocol adherence and quality workmanship.
