Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities. This is an important role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors.
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed
- Perform minor repairs or maintenance tasks as needed
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and regulations
Skills:
- Experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
