Job description
All Around Program Services provides services to individuals with multiple diagnoses, such as, autism spectrum disorders, emotional and/or behavioral disorders, mental disorders, and other cognitive disorders & developmental disabilities.
We are looking for a compassionate, caring, and energetic Supervisor to join our team. As a Supervisor, you will work side by side with management and staff to ensure the efficient operation of our program.
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
Supervisors report directly to the Program Director/Lead Supervisor assigned, and is responsible for the following: supervising assigned personal attendants; providing leadership, staff development, training, performance, improvement, budgeting (payroll/billing), implementation and management of key services in accordance with policies and procedures, interacting with family, consumers and/or any other representative on the process of intake, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation of services for the consumer.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Must have the ability to work with individuals with moderate and severe challenging behaviors
- Provide direct care support to the consumers
- Provide guidance and support to staff, including continuous training and new hire training
- Conduct site visits weekly
- Work one shift per week as a staff to provide support to your clients
- Management of petty cash funds
- Staff scheduling and allocation per established staff/individual
- Oversee accurate and timely collection of data per consumer goals and objectives
- Plan and create activities for individuals
- Communicate on a regular basis via e-mail, phone, in-person with regional center, residential facilities, and families, and other services providers and agencies, as needed
- Be responsible for the selection, training, and supervision of assigned staff
- Planning, managing, coordinating and evaluating assigned staff efforts to achieve the programs objectives and consumers outcomes
- Coordinating with Regional Center of the implementation of consumer IIP objectives and identifying barriers for consumer success and how those barriers can be overcome
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on quarterly consumer progress reports
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment in the workplace at all times
- Report special incidents according to applicable laws and regulations per Regional Center, APS, DCFS, etc
- Complete staff performance evaluations.
- Under the guidance of the Program Director/HR Director, Responsible for Disciplinary Action procedures
- Attends and participates in clients progress meetings
- Must have the phone ON at all times; 24 hours a day, 7 times a week for emergency purposes
- Respond to phone calls, text messages, voice messages and emails within a short period of time (less than 30 mins)
- Perform selected administrative duties in the administrative office
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 6 months of direct supervision in the field of mental health individuals
- Must have at least 12 months of direct supervision in the field of individuals with intellectual disabilities
- 2 years of experience and prior supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to lift, push or carry up to 50 pounds or more
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general regulations
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook.
- Ability to write legible and accurate notes relating to an individuals goals/objectives
- The ability to oversee consumer medications management.
- Demonstrates a knowledge regarding and the implementation of governmental laws, regulations, policies and procedural standards for the home.
- Shall have a valid certificate of training in First Aid, CPR and CPI (certification can be provided upon hire)
- Possess High School Diploma/GED
- Must have a fingerprint and criminal background clearance on file; TB screening and physical clearance must also be documented.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions to the consumer, circle of support, Regional Center and/or public
- Must be able to speak English and, preferably, other languages to meet the individual's needs.
- Ability to use independent judgment during services and emergencies
- Possess a valid CA Driver's License, verification of vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver and vehicle registration
- Have a working cell phone at all times
- Maintain a well-groomed appearance
- Can maintain patience, poise and dignity in an emergency or crisis situation
- Demonstrates a willingness and ability to comply with directions from direct supervisor
