Responsibilities
- Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity
- Promote positive group dynamics for safe, fun and team-building activities
- Actively participate in program activities while maintaining control of the group during activities
- Supervise children during indoor/outdoor playtime, meal time, and educational activities
- Attend all staff training, staff meetings, and professional development
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- No college degree required
- Current physical, and ability to pass BCI/FBI background check
- Able to work indoors and outdoors and engage in physical activity with children
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and support staff
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to create a warm, nurturing and responsive environment for children and families
- Must be dependable and maintain a good work record as to punctuality and daily attendance

- Ability to kneel, bend, squat, stand, and sit on the floor or on child-sized furniture for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift and/or move a child repetitively weighing up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in a moderate to noisy work environment
- Ability to assist children in an emergency situation
- Able to meet the physical demands staying in proximity of children to be within arm's reach
- Participate in safety drills by following the established guideline
- Withstand outdoor temperatures and condition for extended periods of time during all seasons
