Position Summary:
The Residential/ASL Driver is responsible for collecting residential household waste or recyclable materials. The Residential/ASL Driver will safely maneuver a heavy-duty truck in residential environments and transport materials to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility when trucks reach legal load capacity.
Your Role:
- Operates vehicle per Safety Rules, OSHA (Occupational and Safe Health Act), and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
- Perform pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and complete paperwork.
- Participate in all the company meetings required, including scheduled training and safety meetings.
- Notify the Route Manager or Dispatch of any customer complaints, incidents, or potential safety hazards.
- Effectively use the tablet to report any on-site service issues and ensure the route reconciles to the service listed.
- Completely dump containers and leave the customer's location free of debris with container lids closed without blocking customer driveways.
- Performs all duties scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed at meeting customer needs.
- Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.

Requirements:
- Commercial Driver's License B (CDL).
- Commercial Driver's License Class A or B with an air brake endorsement is a plus.
- The CDL is a requirement; therefore, an applicant must be 21.
- Acceptable driving record required.
- Complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review.
