Overview
We are seeking an experienced Painter to join our team, bringing a high level of skill and professionalism to residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing processes. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including renovation, restoration, and new construction sites, utilizing advanced tools and industry standards. Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces through sanding, plastering, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint using hand tools, airless spray equipment, or power tools across various surfaces including walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, and masonry.
- Execute specialty finishes such as industrial coatings or restoration painting with precision.
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope and specifications.
- Measure spaces accurately using basic math skills for estimating paint quantities and material needs.
- Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, or perform drywall repairs as needed during projects.
- Perform demolition or removal of old paint layers in preparation for new coatings.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials and cleaning tools after use.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, or industrial coating applications.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, and power tools including airless sprayers.
- Knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with renovation projects involving plastering, stucco application, masonry work, framing carpentry, fixture installation, or concrete finishing is a plus.
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of schematics and site safety protocols.
- Maintenance Person experience or skills in welding and maintenance are advantageous for versatile project support.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics related to construction or remodeling projects. This position requires a dedicated professional with a comprehensive skill set in various painting disciplines and construction-related tasks. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.62 - $29.65 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 50 per week
