Quality Control Lab Technician | All American Foods, Inc., WASECA, MN

The Quality Control Lab Technician plays a key role within the company. This position ensures that quality products are being produced in the AAFI facilities by effectively monitoring incoming ingredients, finished products, and the plant facility environment.
Minimum Lab Technician essential functions include:
- Record all incoming ingredients and corresponding C of A’s.
- Composite all incoming finished product samples –inspecting for finished product consistency.
- Prepare samples being sent to outside lab(s) for testing.
- Perform product testing as required: Moisture, TA, Scorched Particle, pH.
- Conduct routine swabbing of production equipment, food contact surfaces and plant environment to test for allergens, bacteria and pathogens.
- Maintain lab records, keeping them up to date and current.
- Enter lab data timely and accurately.
- Perform internal audits in all areas of the plant during production and sanitation activities.
- Continuously participate in cross-training to maintain the ability to provide backup in the Mankato/Waseca Lab(s).
- Assist with pest control.
- Accompany regulatory inspectors during visits, when needed.
- Maintain and clean the lab and lab equipment.
- Assist the SQF Practitioner and Substitute, as needed.

What you will bring to the company:
- Superior computer skills
- Extensive knowledge of the MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word
- Solid knowledge of general lab equipment
- Ability to productively communicate with co-workers, customers, auditors, 3rd party lab personnel and outside vendors
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization to accomplish the stated responsibilities
- Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Reading, writing, and math skills
- Can repetitively walk, bend, lift, stretch, reach and stand throughout entire shift
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Minimum starting wage is $23.00 but may be adjusted based on experience.

Standard Lab Technician schedule:
- Monday thru Thursday - 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Friday - 7:00a to 11:00a
- No working nights or weekends
