Warehouse Assistant

The Warehouse Assistant completes shipments by processing and loading orders

Warehouse Assistant Duties:

• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
• Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors.
• Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements; arranging for repairs.
• Handles inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
• Completes reports by entering required information.
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Assists department in various tasks and; or assignments

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Must be able to pass drug test(s) as required by company
• Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces.

Salary : $20 - $25
