- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences.
- Oversee patient monitoring and assessment processes to ensure timely intervention and optimal health outcomes.
- Manage shift schedules effectively to ensure adequate staffing levels while maintaining high-quality care delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), Medicare guidelines, and state-specific nursing regulations.
- Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to legal standards; utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for efficient record keeping.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
- Monitor budgets related to staffing, supplies, and resident services to promote operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular staff training on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, documentation review, patient safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
- Lead efforts in case management to optimize resident outcomes while ensuring compliance with Medicare and other payer requirements.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes leadership development among nursing staff through supervision and mentoring.
Skills
- Extensive critical care experience across assisted living.
- Proven management skills with demonstrated supervising experience in healthcare environments.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to inform clinical decision-making.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation review and medical records management.
