Overview
We are seeking a friendly and reliable Part-Time Dining Room Server to join our team. In this roll you will play a key part in enhancing the dining experience of our residents by serving meals, ensuring a clean atmosphere and providing attentive support. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with seniors and contributing to a positive, family oriented community. No prior experience is required; we provide on-the-job training. Our ideal candidate for this position must be reliable and have a flexible schedule. Schedule is expected to be 3p-7pm with rotating weekends.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Prepare and set up dining areas
- Engage will all staff and residents in a courteous and respectful manner
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring all items are presented beautifully.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, ensuring timely refills and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines during food handling and preparation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
- Preform light housekeeping duties in the dining room as needed
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine interest in working with seniors
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and preform repetitive tasks
- Reliable transportation with flexible availability
- Previous experience in health care or food service preferred but not required
