Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate CMTs (Certified Medication Technician) for our 2nd and 3rd Shift teams. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality care to our residents in a nursing home or senior care environment. This position involves administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to dosage instructions.
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Maintain up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with daily living activities for residents, providing support in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Participate in training sessions and continuing education to stay current with best practices in medication administration and senior care.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety within the work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a nursing home, medical office, or home care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation systems and procedures is essential.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring techniques and practices.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with residents, families, and staff.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality care to seniors.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Must hold a CMT license Valid in RI
