Motivated Apprentice for Air Compressor Technician

All American Air Compressor is a 55 year strong industrial equipment company - focusing on piston, rotary screw, scroll and vane compressors.

You will conduct repairs in shop, in the field, design compressed air systems, and sell quality equipment from our local showroom and repair facility (Bonuses and Commissions).

WANTED: Apprentice to become an Air Compressor Technician

We're looking for someone who is insanely resourceful. Must have basic mechanical and electrical aptitude. Pipe fitting experience a plus. We will teach with On-the-Job training and classroom learning.

Apprentice program begins with simple service and progresses into advanced troubleshooting and rebuilds of air compressors and equipment.

Starting pay for an inexperienced apprentice is typically $ /hour, increasing as quickly as apprentice progresses through the various levels of proficiency and technical ability.

Job Description

The selected candidate will:

• Perform services and maintenance on compressed air systems
• Assist with evaluation of various products for warranty, rebuild and maintenance purposes
• Seek to acquire new service business, maintenance and parts/accessory sales
• Be responsible for the up-keep of all company issued tools used for servicing compressors and related items
• Communicate with the Service Department to find solutions for repair, installation, or service issues on compressor, blower and/or vacuum units

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate's background will include:

• A strong electrical/plumbing/mechanical aptitude
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to be self-directed in order to perform with little supervision
• PC literate, and familiar with Apple iOS
• Clean Driving Record (required)
• A satisfactory background check per Company guidelines (required)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years solid field service experience performing installations, preventative maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment, preferably compressors
• HVAC experience, Compressor experience, Industrial Equipment experience (a plus).

This is NOT an HVAC position.

Applicant must be career oriented and able to pass background and drug tests.
