Primary Duties
- Performs and documents ultrasound procedures while verifying patient consent, preparation, and understanding of risks, benefits, and alternatives.
- Ensures image quality and patient safety, monitoring patients during procedures, initiating basic life support when necessary, and maintaining aseptic technique.
- Supports departmental operations by participating in quality improvement, reporting equipment issues, assisting in staff training, and providing input on hiring and purchasing decisions.
- Maintains a clean, safe work environment by preparing rooms, sterilizing equipment, restocking supplies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
- Engages in professional development and teamwork, maintaining required certifications, attending trainings, and collaborating effectively across departments.
- Graduate of an Allied Health Education Sonography program or equivalent (Required).
- 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting. (Required)
- RVT- Registered Vascular Technologist (Required)
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 days (Required)
Salary : $35 - $63
