Responsibilities
- Conduct cardiac and vascular and/or general and vascular ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes.
- Utilize appropriate sonography techniques to capture high-quality images.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to effectively communicate findings with healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout the examination process.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to discuss imaging results and contribute to patient treatment plans.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and sonography practices.
- Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic sonography specializing in either Echo and Vascular ultrasound.
- Dual modality trained sonographer in Echo and Vascular or General and Vascular ultrasound.
- Certification in sonography with ARDMS or CCI credentials or eligible to sit for registry exam.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a compassionate manner.
- Willingness to cross train and participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
