What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Planner position at All About Personnel?

Production Planner Summary:

The production planner is responsible for all production scheduling and ensuring materials, machines, and workspaces are primed for production while striving for increased efficiency. Collaborating with other key departments to mitigate inventory, machinery, and supply chain issues is a must. We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic professional that is passionate about optimizing production processes and ensuring efficient resource utilization.

 

Duties:

·       Inventory monitoring to prevent shortages or excesses

·       Production schedule building and revisions as needed to meet changing demands

·       Assist with demand forecasting

·       Problem-solve for potential product shortages or production issues

·       Ensure inventory data in ERP is accurate and accounted for

·       Ability to provide regular production status’ to management

·       Ad-hoc reporting: inventory, production flow, project priorities, etc.

·       Collaborate with procurement concerning order inventory needs

Skills and Qualifications:

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·       Goal and team-oriented

·       5 years production/manufacturing experience, food industry preferred

·       High school diploma required, post-secondary education preferred

·       Effective written and verbal communication skills

·       Skilled in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)

·       Detail-oriented, organized, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Position requires 20% presence on the production floor/walking around and 80% sedentary.
