All About Kids Childcare & Learning Center is seeking a dependable, organized, and caring Cook to prepare healthy meals for children in a safe, clean, and positive environment. If you enjoy cooking and making a difference in children's lives, we'd love to have you on our team!
Responsibilities
- Prepare nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks that meet USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines.
- Follow approved monthly menus and assist with menu planning.
- Ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served according to food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times.
- Wash dishes and sanitize kitchen equipment after meals.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of food, paper products, cleaning supplies, and kitchen utensils.
- Order groceries and kitchen supplies as needed.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store deliveries.
- Follow all childcare licensing regulations and center policies.
- Be aware of children's food allergies and dietary accommodations.
- Complete morning bus routes if assigned. Clean Driving record required.
- Work cooperatively with teachers and staff to maintain a positive, family-oriented environment.
- Attend staff meetings, required training, and professional development opportunities.
- Keep kitchen and surrounding areas clean and maintain passing Health Department inspections.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking or food service experience preferred.
- Experience preparing meals for groups or children is a plus.
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Dependable with outstanding attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record if driving responsibilities are assigned.
Required Certifications
- Certified Food Handler Certificate (Required)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all childcare licensing requirements.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain if required).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely lift and move food deliveries and kitchen supplies.
- Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high sanitation standards.

Pay
$14.00–$16.50.00 per hour (Based on experience and qualifications.)
