What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solar Technician position at All About Electric?
All About Electric LLC is growing and looking for dependable, hardworking Solar Technicians to join our team serving the Chicagoland area.
Schedule: Hours vary based on project and job-site requirements
Work Location: Various job sites throughout the Chicagoland area
What You'll DoInstall residential and commercial solar PV systems
Install racking, solar panels, inverters, and battery systems
Run conduit, pull wire, and complete or assist with electrical connections
Test and troubleshoot installed systems
Follow company safety procedures and applicable National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements
Work collaboratively with installation crews to complete projects safely and efficiently
Experience in solar, electrical, roofing, or construction is preferred, but not required. All About Electric is willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Candidates must:
Be dependable and punctual
Be comfortable working outdoors, on rooftops, and at heights
Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform the physical duties required for solar installation
Be willing and able to report to different job sites throughout the Chicagoland area
Be safety-conscious and able to follow instructions
Work effectively as part of a crew
A valid driver's license is preferred but not required. Employees may occasionally be asked to report to Joliet, Illinois, where a company work vehicle may be picked up before traveling to a job site.
