Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our team in various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of financial concepts and accounting software, enabling them to assist in maintaining accurate financial records and reports. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient office operations and providing essential support to our accounting department.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
- Perform general ledger accounting and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries, manage debits & credits, and assist with payroll processing.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, and other financial software for data entry and report generation.
- Support budgeting processes and account analysis to aid in financial planning.
- Prepare financial reports in compliance with GAAP standards and assist with tax-related documentation.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects related to corporate, non-profit, public, and governmental accounting as needed.
- Maintain organized records of all financial documents and correspondence.
Requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping, GAAP standards, and financial concepts.
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and journal entries is preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry (10 key typing).
- Ability to write clear and communicate effectively with team members.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.85 - $27.52 per hour
