The Human Resources Staffing Specialist is responsible for supporting the full-cycle recruitment and onboarding process to ensure the organization attracts, hires, and retains qualified talent. This position partners with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and deliver a positive candidate experience consistent with the company’s values and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, define candidate profiles, and align recruitment strategies with departmental needs.
- Utilize multiple sourcing methods (job boards, social media, networking, employee referrals) to attract diverse talent.
- Coordinate and conduct candidate interviews, administer pre-employment assessments, and manage background checks and reference verifications.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment data in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies during the hiring process.
- Support the onboarding process to provide a smooth transition for new hires, including orientation coordination and documentation.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners such as staffing agencies, schools, and community organizations.
- Track recruitment metrics and provide regular reports on hiring activity, time-to-fill, and quality of hire.
- Participate in employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives to promote the organization as an employer of choice.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in recruitment, staffing, or talent acquisition
- Knowledge of employment laws, hiring practices, and HR compliance standards
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to pass pre-employment controlled substance test (Federal) and criminal background check
- Familiarity with multi-location recruiting
- Experience in transportation a plus
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office setting in Mesa with occasional travel to job fairs, hiring events, and company locations.
