Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. This PRN position offers flexible, as-needed work for individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

DSPs support individuals with intellectual, developmental, and/or physical disabilities by assisting with daily activities, developing life skills, promoting independence, and encouraging community involvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as needed.
  
• Support mobility, transfers, and ambulation while maintaining safety.
  
• Encourage independence and help clients develop and maintain daily living skills.
  
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, community activities, and recreational outings.
  
• Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
  
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
  
• Follow individual service plans, agency policies, and client-specific instructions.
  
• Observe and report changes in clients' health, behavior, or overall condition.
  
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and care team members.
  
• Respect and protect clients' rights, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  
• Previous caregiving, DSP, personal care, or direct support experience preferred but not required.
  
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
  
• Flexible availability for as-needed shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays when available.
  
• Must pass a comprehensive background check.
  
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  
• Negative TB skin test clearance.
  
• Willingness to support individuals with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and needs.
