CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
The customer service representative services new and existing customer accounts.
Essential Functions

- Assist customers with order placement, product questions, delivery and general information regarding company products.
- Initiating and following up with to solve or resolve problems, answer questions and correspondence, and complete reports.
- Prepares, processes, reviews and monitors various documents.
- Contacts current and prospective customers to explain products and solicit new business.
- Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
- Creates and maintains computer files for follow-up action.
- Provides administrative assistance and support.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:45 pm.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Associate degree and sales experience preferred.
