The Role

As our Trade Sales Account Executive, you will play a critical role in building the commercial foundation of Alkemis from the ground up. You will report directly to our Co-Founders, two women who are personally in the market every single day and will be your biggest advocates in the room. This role requires equal parts hustle and relationship intelligence. You will be the face of Alkemis with the design, build, contractor and real estate development communities, converting warm interest into closed accounts and cold outreach into long-term trade relationships. You will shape how this brand shows up in the A&D world, own the trade channel nationally, and work alongside the founders on strategy, activations, and launches as they happen. This is you!


What You’ll Do 

  • Seek: Identify and pursue net-new trade accounts across Interior Design, Architecture, Development, Contracting, Hospitality (Hotels, F&B, Wellness Facilities), Museums, Galleries, Art Foundations, Education, Government/Municipal, and Healthcare. Know who specifies materials, know how to get in front of them, and know how to open a door that was not open before. Be motivated by ambitious quarterly and annual targets and consistently outperform them.
  • Build: Own your pipeline in the CRM with discipline and intention; track every deal, forecast with accuracy, and always know what it takes to move something forward with a living strategy.
  • Activate: Represent Alkemis at trade shows and industry events such as High Point Market, NYCxDESIGN, NeoCon, AIA/ASID events, Greenbuild, Miami Art Week, etc. Arrive with a plan, work every conversation with purpose, and follow through before the week is out.
  • Retain: Build relationships that last beyond the first close; nurture every account you source, stay present between orders, and create the kind of experience that turns a first-time buyer into a loyal one.
  • Collaborate: Show up to every founder touchbase and team sync as a true partner; bring market intelligence, share what is working and what is not, and contribute to the strategy to shape how we grow, not just the execution.

  • You are adaptable and energized by fast-moving environments where the answer is not always obvious and the path is not always clear.
  • You are a collaborator who makes the people around you better and you understand that in a founder-led company, how you show up every day matters.
  • You understand the risk and the reward of joining a company at this stage and you would not have it any other way.

Desired Multipliers  

  • 5 to 8 years of B2B sales experience with a demonstrated track record of quota attainment and pipeline ownership
  • Background in a relationship-driven industry like luxury goods, design, wellness, hospitality, or art 
  • If you come from somewhere else but you are a great salesperson who genuinely connects with our product, make your case–we would love to hear it!
  • CRM fluency in Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tool
  • You have built or actively use agentic AI tools to automate outreach, research, follow-up, or pipeline workflows
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as needed (e.g. for trade shows, activations, and industry events)


Compensation

The compensation for this role is a $70,000 base salary with an OTE of $110,000 (uncapped). This is a performance-based position and we built the commission structure to reward people who deliver. Commission is uncapped, meaning there is no ceiling on what a strong performer can make. Equity is also part of the total compensation package as we believe this person should be an owner in the company they help build.
