Position Summary
The Manufacturing Lead is a hands-on production role responsible for operating equipment, producing high-quality parts, and ensuring smooth daily production. In addition to operating machinery, this role provides guidance and support to fellow operators, helps maintain safety and quality and productivity standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Lead is a hands-on production role responsible for operating equipment, producing high-quality parts, and ensuring smooth daily production. In addition to operating machinery, this role provides guidance and support to fellow operators, helps maintain safety and quality and productivity standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment safely and efficiently to meet production targets.
- Produce parts according to specifications, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Assist in setting up machines, performing basic maintenance, and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Guide, train, and support other operators to maintain production standards and best practices.
- Monitor production processes, identify issues, and suggest improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Make recommendations to Production Supervisor/Production Manager regarding potential employee disciplinary action.
- Support team to ensure optimum productivity rates and that daily targets are being achieved.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S, Lean, and Kaizen projects.
- Communicate production status, challenges, and improvements to supervisors.
- 5 years of proven experience in a hands-on manufacturing or production environment.
- 5 years of experience in operating, setting up, and troubleshooting production equipment.
- Demonstrates a good working knowledge of quality standards and safety regulations.
- 5 years of shopfloor leadership experience.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities on the floor.
